Live Quiz — Kahoot-style Classroom Game
Timed multiple-choice questions on everyone's phone, with points for speed and a live leaderboard.
Live Quiz turns any set of questions into a five-minute game the whole room plays at once. The trainer writes each question with two to four answer options and marks the correct one — or pastes a whole quiz in a single block, one question per line, using a star to mark the right answer. Each question carries its own time limit, so a quick recall check and a think-it-through question can sit in the same round.
Participants join the same room as every other EMPO Digital Champions activity — a six-character code or a QR scan, then their name. When the trainer opens a question it appears on the projector in large type and on every phone as four big lettered buttons. One tap locks the answer in; the phone shows that it is saved and waits, so nobody can change their mind after seeing the crowd move.
Timing is measured on the server, never on the phone, so a slow connection or a device with the wrong clock cannot buy anyone extra seconds. With the speed bonus switched on, a correct answer is worth 1000 points plus up to 500 more the earlier it arrives; with it off, every correct answer is worth the same. When the trainer closes the question, the projector shows how the room answered as a bar chart with the correct bar highlighted, and each phone tells its owner whether they got it right.
Between questions the trainer can throw the leaderboard up on the big screen — the top ten with their points — which is usually the moment the room gets loud. Points accumulate across the whole session, so a quiz can be run in short bursts through a two-day training and still produce one final ranking, and the same room can also run a wheel spin, team scoreboard or brainstorm without anybody re-joining.
