Dot Voting — Prioritise Together

Dot voting is how a group turns a long list into a short one without an argument. Everyone gets the same number of dots — three is a good default — and places them on the options that matter most to them. Because the dots run out, people have to choose, which is the whole point.

You can cap how many dots may go on a single option. Without a cap a passionate minority can push one item to the top; with a cap of one or two you get a picture of how broadly each option is supported instead.

Dots stay adjustable until you close the vote, so a participant can move one after hearing somebody else explain an option. Nothing is shown until you reveal, and the ranked totals export straight to CSV for the workshop write-up.
