This Privacy Policy explains what information EMPO Academy ("we", "us") collects when you use academy.empomm.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this plain-English. If anything isn't clear, write to us at contact@academy.empomm.com.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email, and an encrypted password (or, if you sign in with Google or Facebook, the identifier and email those services share with us). When you enroll in a paid course we collect the payment reference you submit (KBZ Pay number, Wave reference, or bank transfer detail) so we can confirm your payment. We do not store credit-card or bank-account credentials on our servers. Your learning activity — courses enrolled, lessons completed, quiz scores, assignments submitted, certificates earned — is recorded under your account so you can track progress.
How we use your information
We use the data we collect to operate the platform: authenticate your account, confirm payments, deliver courses, issue certificates, send transactional emails you've opted into, and improve the service. We do not sell your data.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language preference. We do not run third-party advertising or marketing cookies. Authentication cookies are HttpOnly and Secure.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of vetted providers: Hostinger (hosting, email delivery), Google (Sign-in with Google), Meta/Facebook (Sign-in with Facebook). When you choose to sign in through Google or Facebook, those providers receive a request from this site identifying us; we receive your name and email back. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers.
How long we keep your information
We keep account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove personal identifiers within 30 days; anonymized records (course completion counts, etc.) may be retained for platform statistics.
Your rights
You can review and update your profile at any time from My Profile. You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to contact@academy.empomm.com. We respond within one business day.
Security
We use TLS for all traffic, hash passwords with industry-standard algorithms, and limit access to production data to a small number of admins. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps and respond quickly to reported issues. If you discover a vulnerability, email contact@academy.empomm.com.
Children
EMPO Academy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. If we make material changes we will note the update at the top of this page and, where appropriate, email registered users.
