Run a clean start-up so your project lands on solid ground from day one.

The Project Kick-Off Checklist is a free, no-login tool that helps project managers in Myanmar's NGO and CSO sector set up a new project properly before activities begin. It gathers the must-do start-up tasks — governance sign-offs, team roles, workplan and budget set-up, MEAL and logframe, procurement and logistics, risk and safeguarding, donor compliance, and partner agreements — into one checklist you can work through and tick off. Items marked critical are the ones you should not skip; missing them is what most often causes delays, audit findings, or stalled disbursements later.
Use it in the first few weeks after a grant is signed or a project is approved. Go group by group with your team and partners, ticking each item as it is genuinely done — not just planned. Items you cannot complete yet become your start-up action list with clear owners and dates. Run through it again before your project launch or inception meeting to confirm nothing has been missed, and revisit it whenever a new partner, budget line, or donor condition is added.
Core start-up steps are still missing. Begin with the critical items — agreements, sign-offs, key roles, budget set-up, and safeguarding — before any activities or spending start.
